Emergency procedures on campus…
 
What should you do in case of an EMERGENCY?  
 
Watch this video and answer the following questions on a separate sheet of paper. If you type this on a computer you get an extra 5 points. (This is posted on the blog with links to the video at www.coachbatista.blogspot.com ).
 
This assignment will be due on Thursday, February 6th.
 
 
 
1-      What are three important reminders in an emergency situation?  (this is in the very beginning of the video).
2-      During a fire emergency, if a person is not able to use the stairs, what should they do?
3-      In case of a tornado, what are two important steps to do? And where should you go? Why?
4-      Is it ok to leave the building once the alert siren is turned off?
5-      In case of a tornado emergency, when can you leave the building?
6-      In case you are dealing with an aggressive person, what are three important things you should do?
7-      What should you do in case of a medical emergency?
8-      Where should you take the injured person?
9-      What is the purpose of a "containment drill" or a "lock down" ? Describe one situation when this may be necessary.
10-   What happens during a "lock down"? (Describe the procedures/ steps shown in the video).
11-   True or False, during a lock down (according to the video) you are allowed to go outside.
12-   True or False, during a lock down (according BIS rules) you are allowed to go outside.
13-   True or False, it's better to go outside first and it check out, then come back into the building to help your friends.
14-   Where should you go during a lock down? (what kind of room).
15-   When can you come out of the "safe shelter" ?
16-   Have you or anyone in your family ever been on an emergency situation? Describe you story.

-          What should you do in case someone is trying to take you or grab you by force?
